Last week I had to go get the oil changed and the tires rotated in our car. It was only supposed to take 45 minutes but it turned into a three day ordeal. The mechanicfound that one of the rear rotors had been damaged and I agreed to have them replaced along with the rear brake pads a few days later. I did not care too much since thecar was is still in warranty. But what was supposed to take only a couple of hours ended up taking six.
Later on I began to wonder whether the mechanics would ever take advantage of me when the car is out of warranty. I know I can change the oil and filters myself, butit is still easier to have them take care of it since they have the tools to do it quickly. For other repairs, I know that I will probably be at the mercy of the mechanics.
